SAFE in Cebu

There was great concern at first that the tsunami would affect the Philippines. People were evacuated all along the eastern coasts here.

Several of you have expressed concern about the tsunami affecting us here in Cebu. By the time the waves reached the Philippines, they had pretty much dissipated. Also, Cebu, is a more protected island and isn't as affected as the outer islands. We had bigger waves on our boat trip than the ones brought by the Japanese tsunami. The devastation in Japan has been horrendous and we pray for the people there. Their problems are not over either. The nuclear power plants are a big concern, and the clean up looks impossible, but that will happen. We look at the increase in natural disasters and the wars and rumors of war throughout the world and think, "Are we ready for the Second Coming?" We are grateful all of you are living lives of goodness. We love you. Mom
