Bohol trip--carabao, rice and chocolate

Carabao are used extensively in the rice paddies and sugar cane fields in the Philippines.

This carabao is almost camoflaged while enjoying a mud bath.

Some of the smaller rice paddies use garden tillers with special attachments to prepare the
soil for planting.

After putting the rice through a grinder, a worker "tosses" the rice back and forth on a flat basket to separate the husk from the grain.

The red and brown fruit on this cocoa tree will eventually become chocolate!
