Waiting for our Ocean Jet ferry to finish loading (it wasn't as fast as the name indicated)The sisters had seats in the tourist class and the elders were on top in the open air seating. The sisters' seats were much softer but the elders had the better view--like the sunrise and the ships leaving Cebu Pier One.
After the rice is harvested it is dried in the sun and the roadside is a favorite place to dry it because it is one place not covered with trees like all the other areas. In some of the areas they dry the rice right on the road and the cars have to go around it or if another car is coming they go right over the rice.
The rice has to be turned often so it can all dry evenly.
