Our Halloween Party was a huge success! At really important Filipino gatherings there is always a roasted pig--but they are very expensive; President and Sister Cuyong brought this darling bread dough pig or lechon to our party--it was a real favorite, so much so, that no one wanted to cut it and eat it! Brother and Sister Richey came in costume as a witch and a devil.
Our wonderful friends from Thailand, past stake president Wisit Khanakham and his wife Sumamaan (left) with Yindee Tanpitayakup (right). We met them when they came to the Temple and invited them for dinner on Sunday. They were staying in the Patron House but there is no food served on Sundays. They were intrigued with our green jello. They brought us a delightful turtle wind chime and some Thai tuna curry.
Brother and Sister Bennie Ilagan (left and right) with Sister Donoso (center) who was the missionary who taught them the Gospel 30 plus years ago. They had not seen each other since but when Ilagans arrived as a new temple missionary couple from California, they were surprized and delighted to see each other in a temple preparation meeting. Sister Donoso is an ordinance worker. This is Ilagans fourth mission.
