June mission activities

Cuyongs provided a roasted pig, a Filipino favorite, for President Mortimer's Birthday Celebration Party. The Filipinos love the skin and the thick layer of fat just below it.

These choice people keep the temple running; they are in charge of the laundry: Sister Suci Telmo, Sister Leia Garcia, Brother Edmond Cordero.

Sister Norma Jorgensen also has a birthday this week. She and her husband Orvin worked in the temple with the Mortimers, the Byrams, and the Cummings in Idaho Falls.

President Mortimer's 67th birthday celebration--he had the honor of cutting up the roasted pig.

At the birthday party, Mary and I did a musical number with the Richeys with very little notice. Mary put birthday words to the song "When It's Spring Time in the Rockies". I provided the rhythm accompaniment with an empty water bottle and a wire whisk. Sister Cuyong was the M.C. She is so sharp and has such quick wit. It was a fun evening, full of laughter and needed relaxation.
