Cebu Chistmas

Larry bought me this beautiful Filipino-made Nativity. These people are masters at draping materials as shown in this picture. This was our first Christmas decoration.

Our living-dining area was very festive after we decorated our small tree and I made the two table centerpieces with candles.

I made similar centerpieces for Sister Gale and Sister Neo for Christmas gifts. After Christmas I gave this one to Sister Flores; she was delighted to have it and I knew I would not be taking it back to Utah.

Our tree though only 30 inches high was elegant with various sizes of gold balls and gold leaf decorations I made. The white paper birds symbolizing peace were fun to design. I loved the little rice lights (named because the bulbs are about the size of a grain of rice); they would twinkle or chase each other creating a magical glow reflecting off the gold balls.

I loved our tree and have decided to give it, lights, decorations and all to our good friend, Lea Garcia. She is excited to have it.
