After the Magellan Monument Flora took us to her home which was with her apt complex where her family served us a very nice luncheon. Her home was very lovely but on the narrowest street. If you met a car coming the other direction the car that had not passed the designated half way point had to back up.

This project is way behind schedule
Flora's apartment complex--the bottom floor and part of the second floor apts. are occupied while they are building the top two floors. All manual labor--concrete is mixed and hauled up in 5 gallon buckets. Any excavation that is done for a building is pick and shovel and carried out in sacks. In the center room on the bottom floor Flora has a training center where they teach sewing and cooking and basic business skills to women so they can get jobs and improve their situation. Flora tries so hard to help the Filipino people.
